Fly One, Fly All, Fly Free - Cebu Pacific's Crazy Contest Promo on Facebook [12 January 2011]

N.B.  According to Cebu Pacific's tweet on 18 January 2011, "DING DING DING! A plane has reached 150 passengers! Don't give up yet, the race is still ON! The plane has to pass a verification process!"

About two hours ago, I received a tweet from @CebuPacificAir that they're going to have a contest on Facebook entitled, Fly One, Fly All, Fly Free.  Apparently, all you have to do is become a host and have 149 guest or friends on Facebook check-in on your plane headed to any of Cebu Pacific's routes, or become one of the 149 guests of a host.  The host must create a travel plan and itinerary on his chosen destination.  Travel is only limited from 09 March 2011 to 15 March 2011.  The first host to fill-up a plane with 149 guests (150 in fact including the host, of course), is the POTENTIAL WINNER.  Sounds easy?  Not quite so, actually.  Mind you, even if you're the host or a guest of the first completed group does not automatically mean that you win the prize.  For an undertaking this huge, I mean, it's a full plane, after all, and FREE to any of Cebu Pacific's destinations, the catch is quite heavy.  The CATCH - all 150 in your group MUST SHOW UP ON THE DATE OF DEPARTURE; even a SINGLE GUEST WHO FAILS TO SHOW WOULD MEAN THE FORFEITURE OF THE PRIZE.

     These are the mechanics:

So, those who would not show up on the date of departure on 08 MARCH 2011 is sure to have the wrath of hell befall on them; curses cast; perhaps, the modern-day version of stoning, flaming, might be on the party poopers' way.  Better yet, party poopers should be warned that they might be ostracized not only on Facebook but in real life as well.  Heehee.

It  might seem a daunting task but, oh well.  It looks super fun, but the tension and stress that it will bring to the winning participants will be insurmountable. So good luck to all who will participate!

Me?  I'll just chill.  First, I don't have a Facebook account perhaps because I don't have friends (ack!).  And second, while the idea of a free trip is tempting, the contest is stress-inducing.  So, nope.  I'll just wait for a seat sale and buy tickets out of my own pocket.

Finally, you must be wondering what will happen to the winning plane that fails to comply with ALL the rigid requirements.  Of course, they'll forfeit the trip, and the prize will be passed on to the next group which completed the passenger confirmations.  There.

If you want to play the game, here's the link or click the topmost photo.  Have fun!
